Vinaccesi Ensemble: La Belle Vie 2013
Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music present Vinaccesi Ensemble in a program of vocal and chamber music. Featuring works by Marais, Couperin, Rameau, Gluck, Handel, and the young Mozart--composers whose music was performed in Paris during the lifetimes of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette, along with a melody by the royal Sun King's father himself. In conjunction with the the exhibit, Royal Treasures from the Louvre: Louis XIV to Marie-Antoinette.

Soprano Nanette McGuinness has sung opera, oratorio, and concerts in nine languages on two continents. She is a founding member of the Baroque chamber group, the Vinaccesi Ensemble as well as the chamber ensemble, the Jewish Music & Poetry Project.
The Vinaccesi Ensemble was founded in 2008 by Kindra Scharich, Nanette McGuinness, and Bruce Wetmore, and first performed as part of that year's Berkeley Early Music Fringe Fest. The Ensemble focuses on music of the Baroque, especially (but not exclusively) that of Italy and the Veneto, and of course, Italian composer Benedetto Vinaccesi (1666-1719)-for whom the ensemble is named....
