IndieFest is honored to host these… Show more two incredible filmmakers, who will present and screen their short films and discuss their intimate work while also contextualizing it within San Francisco's long tradition of experimental film making. We are also excite to announce that Lynn Hershman will be screening some of her earlier short films that have not been shown publicly for quite some time!

Lynn Hershman has been making work since the sixties in San Francisco. If you have lived here long enough you’ve heard her name passed around intense discussions most often in relation to identity, feminism, and the conversation between humans and technology. Her feature-length films have screened around the world, from the Berlinale to Sundance and Toronto. She has been written up in almost every major publication for her decades of work.

Mary Helena Clark recently received her MFA in film from the University of Chicago and has already shown works at the Wexner Center for the Arts and the National Gallery of Art and screened her films at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, the New York Film Festival, and most recently at the Ann Arbor Film Festival. Her works function as poems and are extremely promising in their originality.
