Now based in San Francisco, Tʜᴇ Lᴀᴅʏ Cʀᴏᴏɴᴇʀs have evolved into a full, wonderfully energized five piece group that delivers everything from haunting ballads to boot-stomping pandemonium, featuring Joseph and Nadia along with Bay Area talent: singer-songwriter Andrew Blair, multi-instrumentalist Ross Warner, and bassist Bret Cohune.

The Brough Brothers
The Brough Brothers unofficially began twenty-plus years ago in the mind’s eye of Zack and Josh Brough, as both brothers had always envisioned starting a music project together. However, while both Zack and Josh had been involved in music for many years, they had for much of that time been separated by location, schedule, and different bands (Jugtown Pirates and Poor Man’s Whiskey). It was not until Zack met Brian Byrnes (Lonesome Locomotive) in the spring of 2008, that the project officially took flight, and the brothers and Brian would join voices to start making beautiful music together.

When Zack met Brian, Zack had already been performing in and around the Bay Area with the Jugtown Pirates, and Brian, fresh off the plane from Lansing, Michigan, had been putting in his time at open mic’s around San Francisco. The two musicians made a plan: Zack brought his stand-up bass, Brian brought his guitar and harmonica, and the two started to play and sing songs that they were both familiar with. The vocal harmonies were special from the beginning, and quickly got the attention of music lovers everywhere.

From that day forward, the duo continued to harmonize their way through San Francisco. "After some time, we'd show up at certain locations and people would be waiting for us, applauding after every song," Zack remembers. Zack and Brian decided that it was time to take the project even further and add the third harmony and the banjo-pickin’ of Josh Brough.

Like so many other acoustic collaborations before them, the three musicians met in a park in San Francisco. It was here that The Brough Brothers project was realized. With Everly-brother-esque three-part harmonies, The Brough Brothers synthesized their individual songwriting styles of folk, rock, country, and bluegrass to create their rootsy, Northern California sound. As serendipity would have it, The Brough Brothers had become the band that Josh and Zack had always dreamed of having together.
