Sister Soldier Speaks! is a unique San Francisco BLACK HISTORY MONTH event. Featured speaker, former POW Shoshana Johnson is author of the memoir “I’m Still Standing: From Captive U.S. Soldier to Free Citizen – My Journey Home.” Hear her story, as well as original works by featured poets Arisa White, NAACP Image Award nominee and author of “Hurrah’s Nest”; Aja Couchois Duncan, author of “Nomenclature, Miigaadiwin, a Forked Tongue” and Stacy Nathaniel Jackson, author of “Camouflage.”
