AsiaAlive: Life After Death

Friday, Apr 5, 2013 12:00p to 4:00p
Asian Art Museum San Francisco, CA

Think about the most important thing in your life, then hear local archaeologists discuss various cultural beliefs about life after death. Researchers from UC Berkeley’s Archaeology Research Facility discuss excavation, preservation and analysis of objects thought to serve in the afterlife for the ancient Chinese. The Crucible, an Oakland non-profit, presents demonstrations on how some of the objects in the exhibition were made, and offers visitors an opportunity to make their own treasures.
