San Francisco Day of Remembrance: Civil Liberties Act of 1988--Reassessing Redress...25 Years Later
The Day of Remembrance commemorates the anniversary of Executive Order 9066, which led to the forced incarceration of Japanese Americans. Each year we bring together different communities to carry the light for justice for all people. This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of Senator Daniel Inouye. The program includes U.S. Representative Mark Takano,Chancellor Frank Wu,Hastings Law,Hatem Abudeyya, Palestine Perspectives, poetry, music,and a candle lighting ceremony. Reception at 4:00.
