Post:Ballet was founded in 2009 by choreographer Robert Dekkers… Show more with a vision to collaborate with multi-disciplinary artists in new and innovative ways. The company incorporates modern aesthetics with classically based dance to present work that is deeply personal and relevant to both the creative artists and to our community.
Post:Ballet recently presented its third annual home season concert series, Triads, at the Herbst Theater to full houses and rave reviews. The San Francisco Chronicle stated that Post:Ballet "argues to become a permanent fixture on the local dance scene. We need more companies like this inventive, focused, sophisticated and anything but risk averse" (Allan Ulrich). The concert featured the world premiere of When in Doubt, Dekkers' fourth collaboration with composer Jacob Wolkenhauer, as well as the restaging of Happy Ending, which Dekkers originally created for Diablo Ballet.
