100 Years of Chardonnay Dinner with Wente Vineyards and Williams-Sonoma
2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the Wente family bringing Chardonnay cuttings to California. Today, the Wente clone of Chardonnay is the most widely planted in California. In commemoration of the centennial of Chardonnay Matt Greco, Executive Chef at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards, will host a 5-course tasting menu at Williams-Sonoma. Five different Chardonnays from Wente Family Estates will be paired by Fifth Generation Winemaker Karl Wente, showing the versatility of this varietal!
