Artist Lecture Series: Tracey Snelling
Thursday, Oct 18, 2012 5:00p
San Francisco State University: Creative State Presents, San Francisco State University
San Francisco,
CA
Tracey Snelling’s works range from two-dimensional photographs to multimedia installations incorporating photographs, miniature constructions of buildings or towns and video screens and projections. Based on her own travel snapshots or found photos, Snelling’s interest lies in exploring blurred borders: between the First and Third World, between American, Asian and European buildings and villages amid booms and busts; and the edges where constructed nostalgia meets memory.
