A talk focusing on American painter and photographer Chuck Close’ disabilities. Amanda Cachia, an Australian free-lance curator, will discuss the renowned artist’s relationship between the pixels seen in his massive-scale photo-realistic portraits and self-portraits, and his face recognition disorder, Prosopagnosia. A reception follows in the Piazzoni Murals Room. The event is presented by the de Young Museum’s Disability Access Advisors.
