Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra plays Beethoven and Dvořák
The Warsaw Philharmonic is one of the oldest musical institutions in Europe, with a founding date 10 years earlier than the SFS. Devastating consequences from World War II nearly halted their music, but the orchestra rebounded, and now tours the world, records, and welcomes the world’s finest artists to its stage. Yulianna Avdeeva joins the Philharmonic in Beethoven’s wildly popular Emperor Concerto, and the orchestra performs Dvořák’s vivid Eighth Symphony.
