Energy Supply in San Diego - How Sustainable are we?

Tuesday, Apr 9, 2013 5:30p to 8:00p

San Diego gets our electricity from two long transmission lines & the new Sunrise powerlink. We are building large solar in the Imperial valley and wind farms in our mountains. 1000s of homeowners owners are installing solar PV on rooftops. SDG&E reached the 20% renewable standard and is pushing toward 33% by 2020. Our region is blessed with renewable potential, but do we import it, build distributed generation, or both?

Join us as we hear from SDG&E and CA Ctr. for Sustainable Energy experts.
