The Athenaeum’s jazz program returns in 2013 to the San Diego studio of the Athenaeum School of the Arts (4441 Park Boulevard) for a San Diego debut performance by Gamak, the newest ensemble led by acclaimed NYC-based alto saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa. Gamak showcases the stunning electric guitar work of David “Fuze” Fiuczynski, Mahanthappa’s bandmate in Jack DeJohnette’s current group and widely recognized as one of the leading guitarists on the New York scene.
