10th annual San Diego Tartan Day Festival
Celebrate the “wee bit o’ Scot” that lives in you! The 10th Annual San Diego Tartan Day Festival offers a “sampler” of all things Scottish in our area, bringing the music, food, and tartans of Scotland to life! Find your own tartan (family or geographic), see displays by Scottish organizations, enjoy bagpipes and drums, Scottish highland and country dancing, and music from some of southern California’s most exciting Scottish entertainers, and traditional Scottish fare for sale.

(Marching demonstration) The 42nd Black Watch Highland Society, Inc., is a non-profit 501C3 corporation consisting of men and women of good character who are interested in the history and traditions of the Scottish regiments, particularly the Black Watch Regiment (The Royal Highlanders) and its affiliated units.

'Cèilidh' is a word from the Gaelic meaning 'to visit'. In the tradition of Scottish and Irish local communities, before TV and electronic media, villagers would gather at a neighbor's house or community hall and the participants take turns performing ....
