Beginning the Memoir Part 2 with Thomas Larson

In part two of Beginning the Memoir, we’ll focus on reading and critiquing each others’ work with detailed feedback from the instructor about each student’s writing. We will also study Patricia Hampl’s The Florist’s Daughter and discover how she structures her book by using strategies of narrative, descriptive, and expository writing. Please read Chapter 1 before our first class.
