In environmental portraiture, the surrounding background is used to convey crucial information about a subject's personality, interests, and lifestyle. This course is designed to encourage the intermediate photographer to examine and create environmental portraits. Our approach will focus on fictional storytelling and/or reality-based portraiture--in other words, your backdrops need not be strictly factual.
