Every weekend the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory’s ensembles fill Casa del Prado with classical music. Visitors are invited to observe these rehearsals to experience the beautiful sounds created by our young musicians (ages 8-25). This is a wonderful treat to enhance any visit to Balboa Park.
Rooms 207 and 205 in Casa del Prado
Saturdays: from 8.30am to 7pm
Sundays: from 1pm to 5pm

This sounded great. And maybe it is depending what time day and date you go. When I went I encountered two rooms of fairly young children fumbling through the basics. So at least beware. Perhaps the secret is to come later in the day when older students are at work. If I find that is true I will update.
