The renowned Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán takes the stage for the first mariachi opera.
Mark, a Mexican-American dealing with the approaching death of his immigrant father, faces questions about his own place in the world - straddling two cultures - as well as that of his father and his American daughter.
Celebrate the music, memories, color and high spirits of Mexico in this semi-staged production.
Sung in Spanish and English with translations above the stage.

To the south of Jalisco, in a small city called Tecalitlan the Mariachi Vargas was born. Founded by Don Gaspar Vargas in l897, and whose formation during those years was given by the: guitarra de golpe (or mariachera) played precisely by Don Gaspar, wooden harp by Manuel Mendoza, and two violins played by Lino Quintero and Refugio Hernandez....
