John Stockton

John Stockton is a semiconductor industry veteran who has led numerous start-up companies in the field. At Mayfield, John is focusing on development-stage companies in the semiconductor, MEMS and EDA sectors.

John currently serves as a director of Theseus Logic, DAFCA and Sirific Wireless. Previously, John was chairman and interim CEO of ARC International plc, a semiconductor intellectual property company. He also served as CEO of Synergy Semiconductor, a maker of high-speed bipolar ICs and Stream Machine, an MPEG-2 CODEC maker.

John’s prior experience includes VLSI Technology, where he was a VLSI Fellow and co-created the PC Chip-Set Division of VLSI, and ARM Ltd., a UK-based processor design and intellectual property licensing company.

John holds a B.E.S. Degree in Nuclear and Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
