Mid-day
The de Young Café, with its inviting view of the Barbro Osher Sculpture Garden, offers soups, salads, sandwiches, and hot entrees available for dining in the café or to take away for an alfresco lunch in the beautiful environs of Golden Gate Park.
Afternoon
To relax and recharge after being inspired by great art, visitors can enjoy a traditional European Weinpause at the de Young with a selection of small, savory nibbles accompanied by selected wines.

Only go to the cafe if it's your only choice! The cafe is pricey. A small sandwich is about $10! The cafe is mostly cafeteria style where there is already pre-made sandwiches, salads, fruit mix, etc. that you can choose from and bring it to the cashier.
The food is fresh and good, but the price is not worth it. If you have time walk out to the real restaurants and you can get better food for an even better price.
