Tokyo Go Go is a Japanese restaurant in the Mission. Our restaurant is a wonderful place to socialize, meet friends, enjoy excellent sushi, and have a few drinks. Our menu changes seasonally, visit us today to see our latest selections of sushi and sake. Guaranteed to be addictive! In Japan, Izakaya's are a place to socialize. Everyone gathers to drink, share small plates and have conversion before going out for the evening. Izakaya's are also very popular at the end of an evening for a "final final." The décor at Tokyo Go Go has been said to resemble that of a "Japanese restaurant in the galaxy of the Jetsons." However, others say it's like Andy Warhol meets David Bowie or perhaps even 50's futuristic. Architect Roddy Creedon, Allied Architect and Design, (Ace Wasabi's, Gordon Biersch, Thirsty Bear) combines lime green, bubble gum pink, salt air blue, pale yellow and tangerine dream hues. This sophisticated yet hip, pop-art restaurant's lines are sexy, and its music eclectic. Additionally, Izakaya's are a place to savor delectable Asian flavors with friends. You'll notice that all of the dishes are portioned to share. The menu includes most of the traditional elements that you would find at a sushi bar, however, what sets the restaurant apart from the rest are the not-so-traditional items. No matter what the occasion calls for or your appetite demands, the professional staff at Tokyo Go Go promises to make your next dining experience truly unforgettable. -

The sushi is extremely fresh and tasty.
I also liked the atmosphere and there is a cool 80's Hip Hop Club right around the coroner.
You must Go to Tokyo Go Go!

The blue fin toro here is to die for. I've never had fish that melted in my mouth the same way. It's pricey, to be sure, but it's definitely worth it. The rest of the food was also very good, and reasonably priced for such quality sushi. The service was also good. We didn't make a reservation, so the waitress took my cell phone number and called me when our table was ready, which is a really nice feature. The house Sake was decent, and the miso soup was pretty good too. Overall I really really liked this place. I'll definitely be going back for more of the blue fin toro.
