The show examines the unsettling blur between news and entertainment, and no one does this better than the KINSEY SICKS who happen to be both good entertainment and bad news.
THE KINSEY SICKS, America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, present a single performance of their new musical comedy, WAKE THE FK UP AMERICA on Friday, July 11 at 8 pm at SF’s Herbst Theatre. This is the Bay Area’s only chance to see it this year!
Combining rich, four-part a cappella singing, wicked satire and over-the-top drag, THE KINSEY SICKS have made a strong impression in the worlds of theater and comedy ever since their Off-Broadway hit “DRAGAPELLA” at New York’s legendary Studio 54. The Houston Chronicle called THE KINSEY SICKS’ lyrics "clever enough for Ira Gershwin or E.Y. Harburg." The Advocate called THE KINSEY SICKS "gut-wrenchingly funny" and the New York Times praised their "voices sweet as birdsong."
In their all-new touring show, WAKE THE F@#K UP AMERICA, we find THE KINSEY SICKS hosting their own morning network news and features show, and you are invited to be part of their studio audience. The show examines the unsettling blur between news and entertainment, and no one does this better than the KINSEY SICKS who happen to be both good entertainment and bad news. Watch the KINSEY SICKS put the “ew” in “The View” – and all in glorious, four-part harmony. So don’t touch that dial!
With this performance, THE KINSEY SICKS also celebrate the release of their long awaited 6th CD, “Sicks Sicks! Sicks!”

Drag shows start off with a reserve of comic goodwill, and they are certainly very colorful. But I'm thinking there really should be six.
