ARTIST BIOS: Patti Austin She crosses all musical genres, has made 16 solo albums, and proud recipient of the Grammys for ‘ Best Jazz Vocal Album of the Year – Avant Gerswin 2008. Austin, the daughter of a jazz trombonist and goddaughter of musical legends Quincy Jones and Dinah Washington. Patti has appeared in several past Papillon concerts in Vancouver ,San Francisco and Los Angeles, teaming up with Asian superstars: Frances Yip, Eliza Chan and also Emil Chau Wakin. Lea burst onto the scene in the titular role of Miss Saigon, which began a Broadway streak that would include Flower Drum Song and Les Misérables. Lea is best known to a younger generation as the singing voice of Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin and the lead in Mulan. A multi-platinum recording artist who recently sold-out Carnegie Hall, Lea performs to SRO audiences around the world, audiences who come to hear one of the greatest voices of our time.
