Fly through a human heart on the virtual tour HeartFlight, or visit the future in the Nierman Challenger Learning Center, a realistic Mission Control mock-up and 21st-century space station.
IMAX films and planetarium shows at the center's Heikoff Dome Theater thrill and delight visitors of all ages and interests. The theater, which boasts a screen 10 times the size of regular movie theater screens and is the world's first IMAX Dome Theater, has screened IMAX films on numerous human and geographic topics, ranging from the legendary basketball behemoth Michael Jordan to the ominous, mercurial Mount Everest. And if the stars rule your world, don't miss the center's popular planetarium shows.
Check out the Weekend Talk Series schedule, where scientists and explorers talk about their field in an accessible and exciting way. And take a gander at the center's schedule of family-friendly activities, including Family Science Days, held the third Saturday of every month.
Regular admission includes all exhibits and one film, but if you like to visit regularly, don't forget that an exhibit-only admission price is available.
