Thousands flock for live music, hot DJs, great food and green beer at downtown San Diego's Miller Light ShamROCK block party with 40,000 sq ft of Astroturf in the streets.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Gaslamp Quarter’s Miller Light ShamROCK block party on Monday, March 17, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. Presented by Jameson Irish Whiskey and San Diego’s No.1 Irish pub, The Field, the party shuts down part of the 16.5 historic Gaslamp block to roll out over 40,000 square feet of Astroturf reminiscent of Ireland’s rolling green landscape. Dublin will be proud as downtown San Diego ROCKS with three stages, Go-Go dancers, good food and plenty of classic Irish beer. The event also features five different bands with Young Dubliners headlining from 10:30 p.m. to midnight.
