Heather Elementary School

Nestled in the hills of San Carlos, California, the campus consisting of eleven well-kept acres, orginally constructed in 1963, overlooks the San Francisco Bay Peninsula. Heather School is a dependent neighborhood public charter school serving students in Kindergarten through grade four.

Heather School has had a well-earned reputation for providing rich learning experiences for children in a safe and caring environment. Student performance will attest to the fact that the school functions as a highly effective institution of learning thanks to the careful selection of best practices in instruction, school administration, and school goverance. The charter status provides increased flexibility for the staff and community to make a good school even better.

Our mission is to provide a classical education that prepares all students to be creative, productive, and responsible citizens in the 21st century. We believe that this can be best accomplished in a setting where students and staff enjoy mutual respect, collaboration, fiscal integrity, and partnerships with family.
