The Tavernacle Social Club opened its doors for business officially on February 1, 2002. Just one week later, Salt Lake City welcomed the world during the Winter Olypmic Games. During that special time, the club saw people from all over the world. One particular night, a group of Russian visitors joined us and at one point took the stage for an incredible performance of the Russian Cossack Dance. A woman played the piano while several men joined arms in the dance. Since then we've hosted a variety of parties and even political rallies. We are not, however, a political club. Everyone is invited so please check your politics at the door.
The Tavernacle is a non-smoking club, and we've been known to publicly humiliate those who forget this rule. Smoking is allowed in front of the club, and we provide a heater during colder months.
