Don't Quite Understand

The description of this place written above, truly confuses me.
It states...Critics, regulars, and first timers agree...blah blah blah this place is great. And yet I've read roughly a half dozen reviews on various posting boards, ALL NEGATIVE. WHERE ARE THE POSTIVE REVIEWS? Odd things is, they all have a very common theme. Fantasic building, truly a wonderful facility. But terrible service, and general confusion displayed by employees. Very, very expensive, self described "fine dining" is average at best (again this is merely the theme of all other reviews I have read). So, I found it curious when I read a description saying "critics agree, great place". Which critics???!!!
Anyway, I figured it was time to give the place a go as I'm always up for a new spot. And guess what...everyone who wrote before me (on other boards) got it right...spot on! What a place...sports bar worthy of being downtown in any major city...world class sports bar...great looking place. Now, if someone knew how to change the TV's to different stations, that would be progress. Sports bars show sporting events, yes? But I can forgive that...simple growing pains for new employees...part of the deal. But, slow, unorganized service, with many many employees standing around. (maybe trainees?). A few too many blue collar leftovers from "Players" for my taste. The place is "upscale" right? I don't need Johnny Jeans Work Boot Flannel Shirt spewing forth f-bombs as my wife and I try to enjoy cocktails, apps, and the Celtics game. But again, maybe not the places fault. But not what I expected after reading a well put together web site. I was hoping/expecting an upscale experience. What I got? Average at best. The place really should get things together, as it has endless potential. But based on the fact all other reviewers on varies sites had got the correct message out, I'll take their word for it about dining downsatirs, and hold off on my $200 dinner for a while. However, I do plan on trying it eventually. Very curious what others have to say.
