To mark the opening of "Emancipating the Past: Kara Walker's Tales of Slavery and Power," which features one of the most celebrated artists of our time, the Crocker will attempt to set the world record for the largest-ever group reading of the Emancipation Proclamation on the very date Abraham Lincoln introduced it to Congress. Participate in the reading (scheduled to begin at noon) and receive free admission to view the exhibition and become part of history!
