My Own Stranger: A New Play Adapted from the Writings of Anne Sexton

Thursday, Oct 24, 2013 6:30p to 8:30p
Crocker Art Museum Sacramento, CA

KOLT Run Creations presents My Own Stranger, by Marilyn Campbell and Linda Laundra.

“A life’s work celebrated with genius, urgency and humor.” ~ New York Times

My Own Stranger is a journey into celebrated poet Anne Sexton’s struggles with love, loss and her mental illness, using her own words. At times endearing, heartbreaking and joyful, the play uses three actresses to explore Sexton’s multiplicity of life-roles, demons and creative voices into a powerful and rich theatrical harmony.
