Performers at this Event
Rocket from the Crypt
Rocket from the Crypt Remove performer from this event
Pledging to never play a venue with a stage, singer/guitarist John Reis formed San Diego's Rocket from the Crypt in the summer of 1990 after becoming disillusioned with his then-current hardcore punk band, Pitchfork....
Blonde Redhead
Blonde Redhead Remove performer from this event
Blonde Redhead's noisy, dissonant guitars, alternate tunings, and quiet, stilted lyrics have often been compared to early Sonic Youth. After randomly meeting at an Italian restaurant in New York, Japanese art students Kazu Makino and Maki Takahashi and Italian twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace formed the band in 1993....
Girl Talk
Girl Talk Remove performer from this event
Girl Talk is the pseudonym of DJ and remixer Greg Gillis. A Pittsburgh native who works as a biomedical research engineer during the day, Gillis channels his other creative energies into Girl Talk, whose sample-based dance tracks have made him the John Oswald or Christian Marclay of the mash-up generation: each of his songs are built on recognizable samples of recent hit singles, recontextualized into an entirely new piece....
Dessa
Dessa Remove performer from this event
From its first track, Dessa’s new full-length Parts of Speech (6.25.13, Doomtree Records) announces itself as something different. The Doomtree veteran and inveterate wordsmith — having proved her mettle in the fields of creative non-fiction, spoken-word and hip-hop — jettisons all genre expectations on “The Man I Knew” and croons a heartbreaking lament to a disintegrating relationship at an explosively-building clip....
Minus The Bear
Minus The Bear Remove performer from this event
With catchy song titles like "Hey, Wanna Throw Up? Get Me Naked," "Monkey!!! Knife!!! Fight!!!," and "Lemurs, Man, Lemurs," it's hard not to be at least a little bit curious about this Seattle-based quintet....
Doomtree
Doomtree Remove performer from this event
Hailing from the Minneapolis half of Minnesota's Twin Cities region, hip-hop collective Doomtree spin their MCs' eclectic influences into a highly literate brand of Midwestern rap. Forming gradually as like-minded artists came together, the group consists of rappers P....

Van She
Van She Remove performer from this event
The Aussie dance-rock act Van She formed in 2005 in the Sydney suburb of Bankstown. Each member of the band -- Michael Di Francesco (synths), Tomek Archer (drums), Nick Routledge (vocals/guitar), and Matt Van Schie (bass) -- had responded to an ad in Sydney's Drum Media magazine and arrived at an audition for a vocalist for a doom metal band with influences such as Sepultura, Entombed, Black Skull -- and Phil Collins....
Lemuria
Lemuria Remove performer from this event
Sheena Ozzella and Alex Kerns had already known each other for several years (including a spell where they were a couple) before forming Lemuria during the fall of 2004 in Buffalo, NY. The two looked to bands like the Lemonheads, Superchunk, Jawbreaker, and Hüsker Dü for influence in crafting their own punky, melodic indie rock....
Geographer
Geographer Remove performer from this event
Geographer is a three-piece indie rock band from San Francisco.
Surfer Blood
Surfer Blood Remove performer from this event
Though South Florida doesn't have the tides to shoot the curl, West Palm Beach's Surfer Blood fuse sunny surf rock charm with indie rock cool. Guitarist/vocalist John Paul Pitts and drummer Tyler Schwarz had known each other since high school; they started playing together and connected with guitarist Thomas Fekete, bassist Brian Black, and percussionist Marcos Marchesani at an Ultra Music Festival after-party, officially becoming Surfer Blood in spring 2009....
Dredg
Dredg Remove performer from this event
Hailing from Los Gatos, CA, Dredg began sharpening their aggro-metal sound in the early '90s. Comprised of Gavin Hayes (vocals/guitar), Mark Engles (guitar), Drew Roulette (bass), and Dino Campanella (drums), the group was performing in area clubs before they'd even graduated from high school....
Washed Out
Washed Out Remove performer from this event
The initial offerings of bedroom producer Ernest Greene as Washed Out -- astonishing EPs like 2009's Life of Leisure and High Times -- were drowsy, distorted, dance pop-influenced tracks that brought to mind Neon Indian and Memory Cassette....
Family of the Year
Family of the Year Remove performer from this event

Grieves
Grieves Remove performer from this event
Seattle rapper Grieves returns to deliver his fourth studio album, Winter & The Wolves, on Rhymesayers Entertainment. The insatiable, devil-may-care MC is well known for his meticulous exploration of life, love and loss, through a unique medley of hip-hop and soulful music....
Cults
Cults Remove performer from this event
Static is a breakup album. Just not in the way we think of a breakup album. That cold knot in your stomach when you lose someone? That is not longing for a person. That is dread, uncertainty of what comes next....
Imagine Dragons
Imagine Dragons Remove performer from this event
In a dark kitchen in the middle of a sweaty night in Las Vegas, all 6’4” of Dan Reynolds is hunched over a laptop, slapping beats on the table and crooning lyrics into a tiny microphone....
Gold Fields
