Everyone's welcome to walk in the New Year with the Sacramento Walking Sticks; both on New Year's Eve and Day. Enjoy different 5K & 10K walk routes each day; New Year's Eve takes in the downtown sights along with Old Sacramento's light shows while the New Year's Day route takes in four historic neighborhoods. The walks are untimed and noncompetitive. Children are welcome to join in; dogs can, too but they're not allowed inside the start location which is Pioneer House.
