One amazing Acre: 300 years of History
Tricia Shaw, Education Coordinator at Schoharie Crossing, will present her recent research on the interconnections between Schenectady and Schoharie families with Fort Hunter and Queen Anne’s Chapel. Shaw will trace the 300 year history of one acre in particular that passed through five different families, most importantly, the Mabee Family and also saw the construction of Fort Hunter, the building of the Erie Canal, a 19th century tenant farm and a multitude of flooding disasters.
