2011 Kennedy Center Honoree Barbara Cook is the very definition of a legend. Her silvery soprano and warm presence have made her an audience favorite for more than 50 years, from her days as Broadway's leading ingénue to the time she became a highly respected concert and recording artist. She returned to the Broadway stage after a 23-year hiatus and was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the musical "Sondheim on Sondheim."
