Featured Non-Profit: Rock & Roll for Children Foundation Â
The Rock and Roll for Children Foundation was officially formed in January 2008, although its genesis was really four years earlier. A family started a signature ‘Rock and Roll Bash’ event to raise funds for a local children’s charity. Having four healthy children and spending their lives in the insurance business, they were all too often involved in the tragic situation of a client with a sick child. This event has expanded to numerous variants and the reach far beyond one local charity. The Rock and Roll for Children Foundation is a volunteer-based non-profit that operates with the assistance of charitable gifts and in-kind donations. Therefore, all funding beyond event costs and direct expenses like postage goes to our recipient organizations. Among the organizations the Foundation supports are Children’s Inn at NIH, Carol Jean Cancer Foundation, Believe in Tomorrow, Super Sibs, Starlight Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Washington DC.                  http://www.rockandrollforchildren.org/
