NGS is working hard to become self sufficient financially this year. We have an ongoing fundraiser of scrap metal. This can be large items such as appliances or small items like aluminum or tin cans. We've taken metal plumbing, wiring, light fixtures, pots and pans, metal home decor items and all kinds of other things as donations. Look around and before you put something out with the trash, if it is metal, think of NGS and bring it with you the next time you come.
A note about the venue - Silver Pines is located in Rockmart, GA. GPS and map sites will get you to Hwy 278. We are on the west bound side of Hwy 278 behind the Discount Mattress and Furniture Store. There is an empty pasture east of the furniture store with a driveway running between. Turn into the driveway and follow it all the way up the hill to the white brick house on the right. Park along the straight part of the driveway on the right across from the section with the bird bath. If you have something to unload we'll have a garden cart available to make it easy and there will be people willing help. Please do not pull around the cones. This section of the drive is set aside as a safe place for the children to play.
We ask that no one bring pets. This decision was made after much thought was given to the liability issues involved as well as the comfort level and safety of the guests and the pets that live on the property. The cons far outweighed the pros, so please leave your pets in the safety and comfort of their own home.
There are 10 1/2 acres of fun and safety hazards. Children need to be supervised at all times to keep them from climbing trees and going down to the pond or disappearing into the woods near the trolls. So help us keep your children safe and watch them while they are here. Feel free to bring toys for them to play with. We have some donated toys they can play with as well.
We are bringing back the Sacred Service sign-up. There will be a sign-up sheet at the registration table. We will be asking everyone to sign up to assist in some way during the day.
