Choral Arts Ensemble: Listening to the Voices

The evening will feature Bach’s inspired Psalm setting for double chorus, Singet dem Herrn, and the premiere of Dale Warland’s The Voices, a setting for chorus and solo cello of a text from Minnesota poet Michael Dennis Browne. Taking full advantage of the gorgeous acoustics of the Lourdes Chapel, the men will sing a cappella on an ancient Gregorian Alleluia and a Renaissance motet, and women will spin out Gustav Holst’s ethereal eight-part Ave Maria.
