Cabell Lecture by Klaus Phillips, professor of film and German and director of M.A./M.F.A. in Screenwriting and Fim Studies; B.A., M.A., University of Arkansas; Ph.D., University of Texas-Austin. Phillips teaches a variety of courses in the film major. He is specialist in the German cinema and directs the annual Hollins Colloquium on German film. He has published widely in periodicals and books, is the editor of "New German Filmmakers," and co-editor of "Schatzkammer der deutschen Sprache, Literature and Geschichte." Professor Phillips' topic is "Tracking Film Studies: A Road Report."
