Threshold is a new play with music and movement inspired by the classic Nigerian novel The Palm Wine Drinkard by Amos Tutuola. Originally written in the 1940s The Palm Wine Drinkard is the story of a privileged young village based lay-about who spends his days drinking palm wine with his friends. When the man who makes his palm wine dies, the Drinkard goes on a journey through the mythical Yoruba.
