Remembering the Irish of Richmond: A St. Patrick's Day Celebration at Shockoe Hill Cemetery
Join the "Friends of Shockoe Hill Cemetery" for an afternoon of music, food and fun as we honor the Irish-Americans, many interred there, who helped build Richmond. Irish delicacies; tours and talks on the Maymont Dooleys and other Irish of distinction; and the music of Susan Greenbaum (including her "Danny Boy") are scheduled. Secure parking in the Cemetery.
Preceding at 1:00 is the dedication of a marker for 14 young victims of the 1863 Brown's Island munitions explosion buried there.
