“Due to circumstances beyond our control, Patti Labelle’s Christmas concert has been canceled,” Reverend James W. Sichko said. “We are thrilled,
however, Natalie Cole has graciously agreed to perform two concerts Saturday, December 5 entitled: An Unforgettable Christmas!
“Miss Cole will be performing the first show at 3:00 p.m., and a second show – which is
a special VIP event - at 7:00 p.m.,” Rev. Sichko added. “We couldn’t be more pleased to
have an artist of Miss Cole’s caliber returning for our Christmas concerts.” Both shows
will take place at St. Mark Catholic Church, 608 West Main Street, in Richmond, on
Saturday, December 5.
Tickets for the 3 p.m. matinee are $75 and available through Ticketmaster, 1-800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. event are $175 individual-$2,500 for pew for eight (includes valet parking, hors’ doeurves, drinks, after-show celebration) and available only by calling the church, (859) 623-2989.
Persons who have already purchased their tickets, will receive a letter this week and, if
they’d prefer, a full refund will be given.
Tickets for the 3:00 p.m. show can be purchased online through Ticketmaster
(ticketmaster.com). Tickets for the 7:00 p.m. show are available by calling St. Mark at
(859) 623-2989.
Proceeds from the concerts benefit St. Mark Catholic School and the St. Peter Claver
Building Project.
“Since Miss Cole’s first performance in 2007 – which was absolutely incredible – she’s
taken a real interest in the St. Mark community,” Rev. Sichko remarked. “We’ve stayed
in touch over the years; her friendship and her willingness to answer the call are truly
treasured by all who have had the great pleasure to know her. We feel our prayers were
answered when she received the kidney transplant that saved her life.”
“An Evening with Friends” grew out of concept that St. Mark, as Church, is called to
improve the quality of life and to give back what it has received. The mission of St.
Mark Church is to foster gospel values through Christian education and to promote the
dignity of the person, family and community through worship, service and fellowship.
