Twenty Plus One: Paintings by Shirley Hughes Blackman

Shirley knew from the age of 6 that she wanted to be an artist when she grew up. With the help of the Miss America Pageant (she represented her home state, New Mexico, and was the first to list "art" as her talent) she was able to acheive that dream. She has studied in Paris, France and her art has been featured in the Austin Street Gallary, Southwestern University, at the 20th Century Women Artists in Texas Invitational Show, and in France.
