Slavery in America is thought to have been limited to the South and Northeast. However, Washington State has its own experience of slavery. Eva M. Abram will share the story of a young boy named Charles Mitchell – how he came to the Northwest and how events almost led to an international incident with Canada. Follow along as this rarely told story of Washington history and intrigue unfolds. Audience: 9 years through adult.
