The twenty plus year old charity is the largest private provider of university scholarships to attend university in Croatia.

The meteoric success of 2Cellos started when former cello rivals Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser decided to join forces to showcase the cello as an instrument for contemporary music. In January 2011, they uploaded their own unique cello version of “Smooth Criminal” by Michael Jackson onto YouTube. Within a few weeks, their video was a massive viral sensation receiving over 5 million views. One of those viewers was none other than Sir Elton John, who personally contacted and invited the 2Cellos to join him as the opening act on his worldwide tour. Within weeks, the 2Cellos had secured a record deal with SONY MASTERWORKS. The cello duo covers rock and pop tunes from the likes of AC/DC, Nirvana, Guns & Roses, U2, Michael Jackson, just to name a few.

Luka and Stjepan’s success extends far beyond the likes of YouTube as their fanbase continues to grow around the world. The duo has appeared on many National TV shows such as The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show (twice in 6 months!), Lopez Tonight as well as several other programs. Earlier this year they appeared as the special musical guests on Fox’s hit TV series GLEE where they performed “Smooth Criminal” in the Michael Jackson tribute episode. This was the first time that an instrumental duo had performed on the show in this coveted guest spot. The 2Cellos’ arrangement of the song, which featured actors Grant Gustin and Naya Rivera, sold incredibly well debuting at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Digital Songs Chart and landing the 2Cellos album in the Top 100. Meanwhile, the 2Cellos' debut album has been on the classical crossover charts for more than 50 weeks!

Net proceeds from this benefit concert will support CSF, which has been recognized by the United States and Croatian governments for its charitable endeavors. CSF has helped hundreds of young men and women to attend university in Croatia. Currently the program supports more than 45 students.

Long-time KNBR business talk show host Gary Allen, who happens to be half Croatian, will serve as MC for the evening, which kicks off with a VIP pre-concert party for sponsors, supporters and guests of CSF at 5 PM.
