Sheryl Crow's fresh, updated spin on classic roots rock made her one of the most popular mainstream rockers of the '90s. Her albums were loose and eclectic on the surface, yet were generally tied together by polished, professional songcraft.

That review seems a bit harsh, Sheryl Crow was overplayed but no pop star gets their due without fans

She is a great songwriter and her music has been played by countless other artists before she decided to strike out on her own. I agree, I don't care for her voice and she got too much air time as far as I'm concerned but her talent can't be denied, a great pop song writer and lyricist worth catching if you have the chance.

Not a fan...

I've always felt Crow was a bit overplayed and that she really didn't bring anything new to the scene. To that end, anything she ever did I found remotely good were covers of already successful bands. I actually had to struggle to remember who she was before writing this, and when I played myself something to remember, it was something akin to a vomit burp.

Great singer, songwriter.

His first album 'Back to Bedlam' is fabulous, 'no bravery' is the best anti-war song ever. Songs like 'Goodbye my lover' really touch hearts. His second one is another treasure. And he has a great sense of humor. Can't wait to hear more from him.
