John Prine

John Prine is one of the most influential songwriters of his generation, "A songwriter's songwriter," and, "A born story teller," . He's never had a Top 40 hit, but 11 of his 16 studio albums cracked the Top 200. Three of his songs, "Angel from Montgomery," "Paradise," and "Hello in There" appear on Folk Alley's 100 Most Essential Folk Songs. He's won the Best Contemporary Folk Album Grammy twice, for The Missing Years and Fair and Square .
