Their rich history has serviced the architectural and design community since the company's beginnings in 1975. Altmans created custom designed products to fulfill the need of designers and the most discriminating tastes worldwide. By 1990, Altmans had left the retail showroom business to focus on manufacturing luxury bathrooms with original designs. In 1996, Mr. Altman passed away and, as a result of his tremendous affection for animals, left his company in the trust of his beloved dog Samantha in the care of an animal rescue charity. The company was subsequently owned by two other entities until it was purchased by Helvex, one of the premier faucet producers in the world, in 2004.
