Written immediately following the fall of the Berlin Wall, the trilogy features "The Shape of the Table," about a country's transition to democracy; "Pentecost," concerning the discovery of a historic mural in an abandoned cathedral; and "The Prisoner's Dilemma" about brutal civil war and the brave few who fought for a peaceful solution.
