Friday, Dec 20, 2013 9:00a to 5:00p

Exhibit Reopening: Freedom Coming, Freedom for All
Monday, October 14
The panel exhibit reopens with a commemorative copy of the 13th Amendment. After the amendment’s adoption by the US House of Representatives in January 1865, the US Sanitary Commission sold such copies to raise money for sick and wounded Union soldiers. Col. Henri Crandall, the Adjutant General of Rhode Island, owned the copy that will be on view.
