2013 Women in Agriculture Conference Saturday, February 23, 2013
"Growing Your Successful Farm Business" is the theme for the 2013 Women in Agriculture Conference on Saturday, February 23.
This one-day event will be held simultaneously in 21 locations throughout Washington State. A webinar with a national speaker and local presenters in each location will connect with other women farmers to share experiences, knowledge and resources. Networking opportunities will be great!
This is a "must attend"… Show more for all women agriculture producers who want to participate in a state-wide agriculture conference offering inspirational speakers, inspiring stories and practical advice on how to improve your farm management skills. Learn more about farm business decision making, how to use financial records to improve the bottom line and connect with other women producers.
If you are an aspiring farmer, new farmer or been farming for several years, this conference has something for you. If you are a supporting spouse, student, intern or own an agriculture related business, plan to attend this event.
Last year nearly 500 women heard practical advice on how to meet the challenges of everyday farming and manage the risks of their operation. Many attendees reported it was one of the best conferences for women farmers because it was practical information they could use right away. It made a difference in the ways they communicated with other businesses, organized their day, networked with other women and improved their business operation.
The conference registration fee includes the workshop, light breakfast, lunch, handouts and a copy of the book titled "Farmer Jane - Women Changing the Way We Eat" written by Temra Costa.
Late registration fees will apply after February 18.
Please note: There are 2 registration categories: Women Involved in Agriculture and Student. You can also sponsor an aspiring farmer or a student by paying an additional registration fee. Your donation will be added to the Women, Farms and Food Scholarship Fund.
